quality assurance is very critical in any molecualr

why do we need high QA? and maintained?

in all labs, it’s importnat

but why more specifically in molecular diagnostic?

e.g

we have PCR

• if the person who does it forgets to add positive control
• we wont have positive control
  • we might get positive controls on the sample, but we dont have a positive control reference
  • outcome is unreliable
    • consequence given to patient can be wrong\incorrect

there are different procedures

• alot of errors exist, and they build up to make disaster consequences
