- it has to be lysed then put on a hot plate for a few days
- vertexing until it’s a homogenate then treated the same as others
the general idea for any of these is
- extraction of the genetic material
- the method used here is magnetic beads
- PCR
- 96 well plate is used
- it is sealed with plastic to prevent evaporation of content (specially feces, they tend to contaminate other samples)
- RT-QPCR is used if RNA
- the PCR configuration is chosen according to the sample, but they generally share the profile settings since the reagents are provided by 1 company (closed…)
