• vertexing until it’s a homogenate then treated the same as others

the general idea for any of these is

1. extraction of the genetic material
   1. the method used here is magnetic beads
2. PCR
   1. 96 well plate is used
   2. it is sealed with plastic to prevent evaporation of content (specially feces, they tend to contaminate other samples)
   3. RT-QPCR is used if RNA
   4. the PCR configuration is chosen according to the sample, but they generally share the profile settings since the reagents are provided by 1 company (closed…)
