- you recorded what was given\observed
- any feedback about the lab, please let the dr or the supervisors know (it’s important we start together on it?)
- in the timetable, there will be “tutorials”
- first tutorial is week 6 → don’t wait until week 6 (week 7 is ICA)
- ASK QUESTIONS NOW, DONT DELAY LATER
- the first few lectures are more of a revision
- this is a build up, the next week lectures we’ll start about more “new” things

what is a solution?
- composed of more than 1 material (solvent and solute; more than 1 solute in a solvent)
- keyword → substances to be mixed must be “non-reactive” → if they react, you end up with a product
the solution will have physical and chemical properties
when it comes to the 2 components
- solute (can be 1 or more) e.g NaCl in water
