there are different cells → different tissues

but they are exactly the same (same dna, same gene, same everything) → later develope into different forms, shape, funciton

all of this is due to gene regulation

• environmental factors

  • controls the on\off switch during the development of the cell
    • differentiate differently due to different type of gene expression (some are switched on, some are switched off)

• during differentaiton, some gene undero different reactions depending on the on\off switch again …………… (same statment repeated a total of 3 times)

• stem cell can be modified to produce something specific

  • you can direct the differentiation into a certain direction
  • the control is there, but it is a complex operation

precursor of all the cells is stem cell (the same thing)
