this kind of injury may elicit infalmmation (acute, chronic, intense, etc)

repair is healing of injured tissue\necrotic material

how the organ repair or will get rid of the injury and revert back to viable conditions (not necessarily optimum) depends on some factors

1. ability of cell to divide; to what extent are these cells able to divide
2. integrity\status of the supporting framework of the organ

when an area has a necrotic area, inflammatory cells are recruited

• necrotic tissue is an area? → induce inflammation → this inflammation is important because it recruits neutrophils and macrophages where necrosis is important to remove any remaining necrotic material in the place
